We started our process with Magnolia back in February and completed our project by the end of July. They were easy to reach out to and got an initial meeting scheduled super quick. We provided a general idea of what we were looking for and a rough idea of our budget to complete the scope of work. The design, plan, and cost were so much better than we were anticipating. First, cost. Other bids for the same level of work were around 30% higher than what Magnolia bid. We worked with Tyler and in the bid he had backyard plans and a design that were to scale and showed a true plan of what work would be completed. The plan was very detailed and we were able to see a vision and make adjustments on just the plan. Magnolia created a sunken firepit with a boulder retaining wall above and below the firepit area, landscaped trees and plants to flow with the paver patio area and stone steps leading down into the sunken firepit area. Tyler even had a beautiful stone slab added as a step over the edging that matched it which we did not expect at all. We had some drainage issues with our yard and they regraded the entire backyard to allow water to flow around the sunken firepit and installed a french drain to move excess water out of the yard. They also connected 2 downspouts to the drain to allow our yard to drain perfectly from excess rain coming off of our roof. Finally, they installed a river rock bed along the back of our property with stone edging to create a break between a marsh area full of weeds to reduce the creep of thistle into our yard. We had to call out a few errors that were made along the way but Magnolia worked to make it right as fast as they could. Some drainage issues with the firepit and yard were corrected in a timely manner and there was no push back whatsoever once we raised our concerns. They absolutely worked to make it right and ensure that everything was done properly. We have more landscaping work planned in the future and are absolutely planning to go with their services again as we were happy with the price, quality of work, and timeline given to complete the work. Magnolia once again exceeded all expectations in terms of professionalism, communication, design, budget/cost, and ultimately a finished project that was perfect!
Tom & Katie are so great to work with regarding the planning, changes, staying within budget, and truly aligning to our goals.  Their expertise is outstanding, so they are able to offer advice, both in plantings and hardscaping of patios, fire pits, boulders, etc.
They turned our backyard into a "park" with a gorgeous, high quality fire pit, cool "dry creeks" to channel water and break up the large mulch area, and a sand area that made our grandkids say WOW!
They also take into account drainage and even incorporated our existing drain tiles that were not working well.  Basically, they are experts at EVERY aspect of landscaping and hardscaping.
Take a look at the pictures and you will see the intricate detail of the pavers cut to align with the boulders.  Even the boulders themselves were specifically selected to allow extra seating around the fire pit, memorial garden area, and sand area.  We didn't even ask for that, but they made it so cool by going the extra mile for us.
Tom & Katie were in constant communication with us and their work team.  The team was hard working, meticulous, and so nice. In terms of cost, integrity, professionalism, and finished product, you will not find a better company.
We had them install a fire pit at our last house and it still looked like it was brand new years later when we sold the house.  It clearly helped increase the value and appeal of our home when it was time to sell.  We have referred Magnolia to our friends and now our grown children with their new homes. We, and several of our neighbors, recently had Magnolia do the landscaping for our yards - and it is BEAUTIFUL!!  The designers, Katie, Tom and their team, create works of art and moreover, are a joy to work with.  They listen, they are responsive, and they make every effort to accommodate our requests. Everything from start to finish was seamless with Magnolia.  The design process was based on our input for certain types of trees but after that Katie, our designer, made a beautiful outline for the work to be based upon that included large rocks, a dry creek bed, and flowering perrenials.  Magnolia contacted our irrigation vendor and the surveyor for utilities marking.  It all came to fruition quickly once the work was started, which included a lot of hard work from the crew.  Care was taken to cover the existing grass and rocks to protect them during the project.  It was great not to stress about anything.  Now we can enjoy the wonderful results. I had the pleasure of working with Magnolia in the summer of 2024 for a backyard patio and fire pit area, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Tom and Katie were fantastic to work with—true professionals who brought my vision to life.

From design to execution, Magnolia exceeded our expectations. They provided fantastic recommendations that helped us best utilize the space in our yard and created a clean, beautiful aesthetic. The plant selection was spot on, and everything looks healthy and vibrant (going into winter).  The crew, led by Ramiro who was absolutely fantastic, was top-notch. They were kind, professional, and completed the project faster than estimated.

They are a small business, and working with them felt more personal, which we appreciated and enjoyed. Since this season was quite busy, though, there were times when communication was a little slow, but the final result was well worth it. Highly recommend!
